Con profundo pesar anunciamos el fallecimiento de Alexia Melania Mejía Cárdenas, amada esposa y madre dedicada, quien partió de este mundo inesperadamente el 16 de agosto de 2026, a los 52 años de edad. Nacida el 9 de junio de 1974 en Honduras, Melania estableció su hogar en Baltimore, Maryland, donde se dedicó por completo a su familia.

A Melania le sobreviven su esposo, Daniel Alvarenga, con quien compartió 20 años maravillosos, 13 de ellos en matrimonio. También deja a sus cuatro queridos hijos: Stefany Pashing (26 años), Daniela Alvarenga (19), Daniel Alvarenga (14) y Giselle Alvarenga (12). El compromiso inquebrantable de Melania con su familia y su espíritu generoso tocaron la vida de muchas personas; se le recordará siempre por su bondad y su deseo de ayudar a los demás. La cocina era una de sus grandes pasiones; nada le gustaba más que preparar una comida deliciosa y reunir a sus seres queridos alrededor de la mesa.

Para honrar la vida de Melania, se llevará a cabo un velatorio público en la funeraria Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk (7110 Sollers Point Road, Dundalk, MD 21222) el viernes 21 de agosto de 2026, de 2:00 p. m. a 9:00 p. m. Se invita a familiares y amigos a celebrar los hermosos recuerdos y la luz que ella trajo a nuestras vidas.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Alexia Melania Mejia Cardenas, beloved wife and devoted mother, who left this world unexpectedly on August 16, 2026, at the age of 52. Born on June 9, 1974, in Honduras, Melania found her home in Baltimore, MD, where she dedicated herself to her family.

Melania is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Alvarenga, with who she shared 20 beautiful years, 13 of which they were married. She also leaves behind their four cherished children: Stefany Pashing, 26; Daniela Alvarenga, 19; Daniel Alvarenga, 14; and Giselle Alvarenga, 12. Melania's unwavering commitment to her family and her generous spirit touched the lives of many. She was known for her kindness and her desire to help others. Cooking was one of her greatest passions, and she loved nothing more than creating a delicious meal and bringing loved ones together around the table.

In honor of Melania's life, a public viewing will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, Dundalk 21222, on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 2:00 PM- 9:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to celebrate the beautiful memories and the light she brought into our lives.
