Betty Lou Dorsey

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Lou Dorsey (nee Fosler) on September 6, 2021 at the age of 92 in Lutherville, Maryland.

Daughter-Wife-Sister-Mother-Grandmother-Great Grandmother Friend

Betty was born in Baltimore, Maryland on December 12, 1928 to John Fosler and Elsie (Uhland).  Betty married the love of her life, the late Bill Dorsey, on December 7,1946 at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Baltimore. Betty and Bill settled in Overlea, Maryland and raised their three children in that wonderful old house on Brook Ave. They retired in 1989 to Ocean Pines, Maryland to be near the beach they both loved. Betty was predeceased by her loving husband in 1993.
Betty is survived by her children, Pat Zink (and husband Lou Zink), John Dorsey (and wife Marcia Dorsey) and Jan Sidelinker (and husband Eric Pritchett). Grandchildren Holly Zink, Meagan Zink Denham, Elizabeth Sidelinker, Jonathan Sidelinker, Patrick Dorsey, David Milbourne. Great-Grandchildren Dylan, Mariah, Lincoln, Xander, Emmett, Conor, Reese, Chase and Seth. Sisters Joan Metzbower, Donna Stairs and Sister-by-Love Ruth Sullivan. Also, many nieces and nephews.      Betty loved her family and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She enjoyed gardening, traveling, the beach and dancing. A wonderful family memory is watching Betty and Bill cutting a rug on the dance floor. She will be forever missed by her family and friends.
