It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Charles D. Little, a beloved father, grandfather, and a proud veteran, who departed this world on October 9, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on December 20, 1931, in Maryland, Charles lived a life filled with purpose and dedication, leaving behind an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Charles was the cherished husband of the late Marilyn Little and devoted father to his daughter, Carol Lynn Nolan, and her late husband, Terry. His life was further enriched by his adored grandchildren, Bridget Nolan and her husband, Kyle Schwartz, and Katie Nolan and her partner, Cove Pontin. He was also the dear brother of the late Irene D. Little and Robert D. Little, who welcomed him with open arms once again.
A respected mechanical engineer, Charles devoted 48 years of his career to the Ellicott Machine Corporation. He took immense pride in his work, which allowed him the opportunity to travel the world, showcasing his talents and leaving a legacy of excellence in engineering. Beyond his professional achievements, Charles was a proud veteran of the Korean War, an experience that shaped his character and instilled in him a sense of duty and service.
In this time of loss, let us remember Charles not only for his accomplishments but for his unwavering love for his family and friends. May his legacy of kindness, strength, and dedication continue to inspire all of us as we carry him in our hearts.
A memorial service celebrating Charles' life will be held at a later date.
