Dale Allen Rathmann

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dale Allen Rathmann, a beloved husband and son. Dale peacefully left this world on February 12, 2024, at his residence in Baltimore, MD surrounded by his loving family. He was Born on April 19, 1965. He was 58 years old.

Dale cherished his role as a loving husband to his devoted wife, Lucinda Rathmann. Kitty Daddy to Diamond, Dazzle and Little One, Son of Donald A Rathmann (deceased) and Margaret M (nee Ballman) Rathmann, Brother of Nancy and Buddy Groves, Catherine Brechin, James D Rathmann, and Bruce Rathmann, Uncle to Michael and Jennifer Brechin, Caryn and Jonathan Lawton, Stephan Rathmann, Brandon Rathmann and Patty, Shannon Baker and Josh Haynes, Elisabeth Stemple, Michelle and Gary Little, Great Uncle to Matthew, Mitchell, Danielle, Austin, Bella, Ariel, Emma, Ethan, Penelope, Bentley, Maddox and Joline. Also nephews to David Rawls and his wife Kelly, Jake Benner, and Brandon Rathmann. 

Dale worked for the City of Baltimore with 34 years of service as a truck driver (DPW) and Sound Tech (DOT-special events) for city official and their associates. He enjoyed meeting people including the media. Dale attended St Elizabeth of Hungary and graduated from Patterson High School in 1985. Dale enjoyed fishing, sitting around fire pit listening to his music and drinking his beer. Enjoyed feeding the birds and just enjoyed the outdoors. Dale was always just the life of the party. His friends had many nick names for him such as DOPEY, MEATBALL, DUMPSTER DALE, DETAIL DALE, CAPTAIN BONEHEAD, RAINBOW BRITE just to name a few. Dale met Cindy on 10/14/2001 at Tiffany's East (shrimp feast) and married her on 11/29/2003. WOW!! What a trip it has been? 

In honor of Dale's life, we invite friends, family, and members of the community to join us at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk for two public viewings. The viewings will take place on February 16, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm. These gatherings will allow us to come together, share stories, and commemorate the life of a remarkable person, Dale Allen Rathmann.

Dale Allen Rathmann will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving son, and a friend to many. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in our hearts.
