Diane S. Eckstein (nee Biehl) passed away on January 17, 2024. She was born on October 15, 1956 and resided in Dundalk, MD, where she created a warm and loving home for her family.
Diane's greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted wife to her loving husband, Kenneth Eckstein, with whom she shared countless precious memories. Together, they raised two beautiful children, the late Justin Whitt and Karen Dryden. Diane's love extended to her son-in-law, John, and her daughter-in-law, Lauren. She was a proud grandmother to Emiley, Sumer, Michelle, Jessica, Christine, Savannah, Julie, and Ryan, and a doting great-grandmother to Amberlynn, Charlotte, and D'angelo. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Apart from her dedication to her family, Diane possessed an innate talent for cooking delicious meals that brought everyone together. Her kitchen was always filled with the laughter of loved ones gathered around the table.
In addition to her culinary skills, Diane enjoyed outdoor adventures and the tranquility of camping with her family. Whether it was sitting by the campfire or exploring nature, these moments brought her peace and happiness. Diane's zest for life and love for the simple pleasures will serve as an enduring reminder of her spirit.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during a public viewing at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Monday January 22, 2024 from 10:00 am- 1:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 1PM. Diane will be laid to rest at Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens, 5598 Trumps Mill Road at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause that was close to Diane's heart. Her compassion for others will continue to live on through the support provided to those in need.
Diane S. Eckstein was an extraordinary woman who will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we mourn her passing, let us also celebrate the legacy of love, kindness, and joy she leaves behind. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
