Doreen Cucina Matczuk

We are sad to announce the passing of Doreen Cucina Matczuk of Baltimore, MD, on Tuesday November 15, 2022 at the age of 76. She is survived by her loving, devoted daughter Lisa Macis, son-in-law Mark and grandchildren Matthew (wife Hannah), Gabriel (wife Amy), and Sierra, as well as daughter Lynn Navarre & family, and dear brother John Cucina. Her memory will live on forever in the hearts of her many cousins (cugini), extended family and friends. She is predeceased by parents Vera & Sam Cucina, and sisters Rose Manuel and Mary Sue Madej.

Doreen was raised in Little Italy, and grew into a beloved part of the Italian community as an officer of the Saint Gabriel Confraternity and as a member of the Sons of Italy Lodge #2286. She connected her family and friends through her gift of storytelling, captivating the young and old equally. Her quick wit and sense of humor were second only to her devotion to her family, which was signature of her personality. She loved dancing, playing BINGO and, most of all, spending time with her family.

Family will receive visitors at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Leo Roman Catholic Church on Saturday at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
