Doris "Cookie" Waters

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doris "Cookie" Waters, who left us peacefully on July 12, 2025, at the age of 81. Cookie was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, who touched the lives of many.

Cookie lived a life filled with love and laughter. Known for her love of dancing and singing karaoke, Cookie was the life of any gathering, always ready to share a tune and get the party started. Her zest for life will be missed, but her spirit will remain alive in the hearts of those who knew her.

Cookie is survived by her son, George Waters III; her daughters, Lisa Gregg and Melissa Hahn; her daughter-in-law, Lisa Waters; and her sons-in-law, Mike Gregg and Todd Hahn. She also leaves behind a cherished group of grandchildren: Brittany DiMitri, Jacob Hahn, Courtney Schreve, Bridgette Gregg, Cody Gregg, Danny Waters, Michael Swietkoski, and Gregory Swietkoski and 16 great grandchildren. Cookie will be missed by her sister, Nancy Swingle, and brother-in-law, Ray Swingle, who will hold her memory dear.

The family invites everyone to celebrate Cookie's life. A public viewing will be held at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on July 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at noon. Immediately after, a graveside service will be conducted at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens, where Cookie will be laid to rest.

As we gather to reminisce and honor Cookie, we welcome all who were touched by her kindness and joy. Your presence will contribute to the beautiful memory of a remarkable woman who lived life to the fullest. May we all carry a piece of her sparkle in our hearts forever.

Cookie was preceded in death by: her husband George Waters Jr., and her parents, Grady and Mildred Savage.
