It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edward S. Swartz Jr., who left this world peacefully on May 12, 2026, at the age of 97. Born on November 16, 1928, in Maryland.

Edward was preceded in death by his beloved wives, Frances Swartz and Hedi Swartz. He was a devoted father to his daughters, Linda Brady (husband Robert) and Karen Nordbrook (husband Jim), as well as a loving stepfather to Paula Chetelat (husband John) and Linda Pianowski (husband Raymond). Edward was also a cherished grandfather to Michael Brady (wife Jamie), Jonathan Brady, Rachel Genego (husband Jim), Hannah Nordbrook, Rebekah Nordbrook, Jeffrey Brady (wife Gwen), Stephen Brady (wife April), Scott Chetelat (wife Dara), and Terri Chetelat. He was also delighted in the presence of his fourteen great-grandchildren.

A PRIVATE family graveside service will be held on Thursday May 14, 2026, at 12:00 noon located at Oak Lawn Cemetery, 7225 Eastern Ave., Eastfield, MD 21224.

Edward will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
