Eugene "Gene" Maier

On May 13, 2021, Eugene ("Gene") E. Maier, Jr. joined his wife Linda in Heaven. He is survived by his beloved daughters Sarah Maier and Jessica Hawks and her husband, Jason and his son, Josh Maier. Gene was the cherished caregiver to Armani Meritis and Aryana Kruft; loving pop-pop to Elizabeth, Jack and Shawn Wingerd; devoted uncle to Jennifer Maggio, Laura and Emily Drapinski and many other nieces and nephews; brother to Mark Maier and his wife, Margaret; Vince Leonard and his wife, Lynne; Todd Leonard and Laura Drapinski and her husband, Dave. He was preceded in death by his father Eugene Maier, Sr. and his mother, Nancy Leonard. Gene also leaves behind many other beloved family members and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Rd. on Thursday from 11 am - 1 pm and 4-6 pm. A funeral service for Gene will be held on Friday 11 am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Parkwood Cemetery.
