Eugene Francis Nevy, Jr., Retired Baltimore City Housing Officer
Eugene Nevy, a longtime resident of Joppa and Dundalk, died peacefully in hospice in Bel Air on October 20. He was 76. Mr. Nevy was born in Baltimore, Maryland on November 2, 1944 to Dr. Eugene Francis Nevy and Charlotte Campbell Nevy of Dundalk, the eldest of six children. He graduated from Baltimore Institute in 1964. After high school, he met his wife, Karen Lee Lambert of Dundalk. They married on January 3, 1970 and continued living in Dundalk where they raised their two children, John and Richard. Mr. Nevy worked for most of his life as a special enforcement officer for the Baltimore City Housing Department, retiring from service in 2007.
Mr. Nevy is survived by his wife, Karen; his two sons: John Nevy and his wife Dr. Kristina Nevy of Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania; and Richard Nevy and his wife Holly Nevy of Glen Burnie; his siblings David Nevy, Richard Nevy, Mary Elizabeth Hurst, Mary Charlene Willard, and Cynthia Love; and his beloved grandchildren John Brent Nevy II, Christopher Nevy, Anna Nevy, Emily Nevy, and Madeline Nevy.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, October 24th from 3 - 5 PM and 7 - 9 PM, and Monday, October 25th from 4 - 8 PM at Connelly Funeral Home, 7110 Sollers Point Road, Dundalk, MD 21222. There will be a service to celebrate his life at a public funeral on Tuesday, October 26th, at 10:30am at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery, 7225 Eastern Ave, Baltimore, MD 21224.
