Frank Roy Buchanan

Frank (Buck) Roy Buchanan, aged 93, passed away peacefully at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home on June 28, 2023. Frank was a beloved husband for 53 years to the late Marie Bramer Buchanan, and a devoted father of Bonnie Buchanan Little, married to Lew and Roy Buchanan married to Donna. He was a loving grandfather to Ian Little, married to Chelsea, Rachel Little, Ryan Buchanan and Christina Buchanan and a great grandfather to Isaac Buchanan, son of Christina. Frank had one brother, the late Robert Buchanan of MA, married to Edith. Frank loved Bob very much and while they lived far apart they enjoyed phone conversations and visits for many, many years.

Frank, also known as Buck to his friends, was born in Sommerville, Massachusetts, later moving to Medford, New Hampshire where he spent his youth. He was honorably discharged from the United States Navy in August of 1954 serving our country during the Korean War. He was married to Marie Bramer in 1955, first residing in Boston and then moving to Dundalk, Maryland where he spent most of life residing in the Stanbrook Community.

Frank was a salesman up until he retired, working in various industries, mostly industrial and automotive. He was awarded the designation of Master Mason in 2017 by the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons and was also a member of the local VFW.

The family is planning a private graveside service and celebration of life in the Fall. Frank will be interred at the Baltimore National Cemetery in Catonsville, MD alongside the love of his life, Marie, where they will be together for eternity. Donations can be made in his memory to the Charlotte Hall Veterans Assistance Fund.
