Harold Tingler

Harold Tingler peacefully departed on June 20, 2024, at the age of 91.

Born on March 25, 1933, in Sutton, WV, Harold was a beloved husband to  the late Patricia Tingler, devoted father to Vickie Tingler (Jack), Brenda Maley (Victor), Allen Tingler, Judy Hoover, David Tingler, Gayle Gencel (John), and the late Jacalyn Gray and Joyce Deveas.

Harold will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Earl Johnson IV (Kelly), Christy Johnson, Carly Ardell, Dawn Harrington, Lindsay Maley, Lori Hoover (Eric), Jason VanDevander (Jess), Nathan Gencel, Samantha Christiani (Kevin), Kristen Stipek (Jon), and the late Anthony Johnson (Denise) and the late John Michael Pinkus. His legacy lives on through his great-grandchildren Earl Johnson V, Lauren Johnson, Jacob Johnson (Brittany), Brandon Owens, Zachary Harrington, Hailey Ardell, Olivia Williams, Kayla Olszewski, Madison Christiani, Elizabeth Christiani, and Noah VanDevander, as well as great-great-grandchildren Harmony Mackay, Theo Johnson, and Ruby Mae Johnson.

He served his country with honor in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, earning the rank of SGT. Harold was a hardworking foreman at Bethlehem Steel, where he dedicated his time and energy. He found joy in the simple things in life: fishing, crabbing, hunting, gardening, and spending time outdoors with his beloved family.

A celebration of Harold's life will take place with a public visitation at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Rd. on Wednesday from 3-7 pm. A funeral service for Harold will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 am. A Graveside Service will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens in Middle River, MD.

Harold Tingler will forever remain in our hearts as a cherished father, a devoted grandfather, and a true American patriot. May he rest in peace knowing he was deeply loved by all who knew him.
