Herschell F. Ross Jr., a devoted husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the age of 83.

Herschell is survived by his beloved wife, Rose Ross, who stood by his side through 58 years of marriage. Together, they raised their son, Herschell Ross, and their daughter, Angela Harper, who will miss him greatly. He will also be remembered fondly by Ginger, his cherished Yorkie, who brought joy and companionship to their home.

After high school, Herschell embarked on a fulfilling career as a line operator at the American National Can Company, where he worked diligently until his retirement in 1995. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War while stationed in Germany. His commitment to service and community was evident throughout his life and left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

A devoted fan of Baltimore sports, Herschell found joy in rooting for the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens.
