James Robert Black Sr.

James “Jim” Black was a caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Jim passed away on March 25, 2021 at the age of 87.

Jim was born to the late Wilford Black (father) and Sara Black (mother) on April 24, 1933. He is survived by his sister, Linda and her husband George, his late brother-in-law Robert and his wife Maria, his sister-in-law Carol; and his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Jim married the late Camella and spent more than 50 years together raising their family on Railway Avenue. He is survived by his four sons and four daughters: James “Jim” and his dear friend Jeanne, Joseph and his wife Robin, Jeffrey and his wife Elaine, Jarrod and Jenn. He was a proud grandfather and loving great-grandfather, survived by his seven grandchildren and their partners: Megan and her husband Joseph, Jessye and her fiancé Dave, Amanda and her husband Justin, Brittany and her fiancé Benjamin, Kathleen and her husband Kevin, James “Jamie” and his fiancé Kristi, and Camella; and two great-grandchildren Brooklynn and Oliver.

Family will receive visitors at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at Sacred Heart of Mary Church at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
