We are saddened to announce the passing of James Houston Bolling Sr., who left us peacefully on July 16, 2026. Born on June 8, 1938, in Maryland, James was 88 years old.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Frances Bolling; his three wonderful children, the late Arlene Rose, her husband, Fred Rose, Valerie Verderaime, her husband Mark Verderaime and James Bolling Jr. ; his cherished grandchildren, Erin Madzarac and her husband Will Madzarac, Brandon, Matthew, and Christopher Verderaime; and his great-grandson, Brentley Madzarac. He was also a dedicated brother to Walter, Albert, and Thomas Bolling, and a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews who will miss his warmth and guidance.

James proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps achieving the rank of Private E1. He was also a long-time Secretary of the Moose for 20 years, held the Pilgrim degree, and was a proud member of the Masons.

A public viewing will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Wednesday July 22, 2026 from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am on July 23rd, followed by a graveside service at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, 6515 Boston St, Baltimore, 21224.

He will be dearly missed, Rest in peace, James.
