It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, John Allen Asher, who left us on September 9, 2026, at the age of 70. Born on October 6, 1955, in Maryland.

John will be deeply missed by his wife, Toni Asher, who was his partner in all things. He is also survived by his children, Spencer Asher and Chelsea Sheckells (husband Tim), along with his cherished grandchildren, Noah and Jacob Sheckells. John loved being a grandpa and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his grandkids at their games. Beloved brother to Ann Asher-Davis and the late Elmer, Jimmy and Barbara.

A dedicated member of the workforce, John showcased a relentless work ethic that inspired those around him. Away from work, he found great pleasure in traveling, camping, and hunting for treasures at yard sales. His passion for Harley motorcycles was evident, especially during the exciting weeks spent at OC Bike Week, where he formed bonds with fellow riders and created lasting memories.

We invite all who knew John to celebrate his life during a public viewing at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Monday September 14, 2026, from 2:00-6:00 pm.

Rest in peace, Johnny. You will be missed but never forgotten.
