It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Edward Helowicz, who left us on April 18, 2026, at the age of 94. He was born on March 1, 1932 and lived in Fells Point, Maryland before moving to Los Angeles, CA.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Peter and Anna Helowicz, and his siblings: Frank, Catherine, Julia, Helen, Stella, Cecilia, and Theresa. Joe was the treasured uncle to many nieces and nephews who adored him.

Family and friends are invited to honor Joseph's memory during a public viewing at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6736 Youngstown Avenue, on Saturday, May 2, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM, providing an opportunity for all to pay their respects. This will be followed by a Mass at the same location beginning at 11:00 AM. Joseph will be laid to rest in a graveside service at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, 6515 Boston Street.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
