Joseph "Moe" Mayeski

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph "Moe" Mayeski, cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who departed this life peacefully on May 13, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on October 5, 1932, Joseph lived a life marked by dedication, hard work, and love for his family.

Joseph was a proud veteran, having served his country in the Army. After his service, he continued to demonstrate his strong work ethic as a chemical operator at Bethlehem Steel, where he contributed to the livelihood of his community for many years.

Joseph devoted 68 loving years to his wife, Glenna Mayeski. Together, they nurtured an adoring family that includes their children, Diane Schaefer, Connie Snooks, Fred Naill, and the late David Mayeski, along with their grandchildren, Sherry Jones (Kasey), Joseph Gentile, Patrick Snooks, Josh Mitchell (Caitlyn), Zachary Mitchell (Hannah), and Jacob Mitchell-who will hold cherished memories of their grandfather close to their hearts. Additionally, Joseph leaves behind seven great-grandchildren.

A public viewing will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, providing family and friends an opportunity to pay their respects. A funeral service will follow on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Cemetery, 6480 Elibank Road in Elkridge, where he will be laid to rest.

In this time of sorrow, we take solace in knowing that Joseph's legacy lives on in the hearts of his loved ones. May he rest in peace, forever remembered by those who had the privilege of loving him.
