Joseph "Buzz" Novotny Jr.

On December 2, 2020 Joseph "Buzz" Novotny Jr. passed peacefully from this life. He was a beloved husband to Patricia for 61 years. The best dad to Debbie and Steven. A great father-in-law to Steve and Hanne. And the world’s greatest grandfather to Drew, Ryan, Rachael and of course the dogs Moe, Diesel, Lily, Rose, Gigi and Bella. He leaves behind three brothers Robert, David and Richard, three sister-laws Betty, Pearl and Beverly and a large extended family of nieces and nephews.   

He was a man who always had time for you know matter what. The neighborhood kids adopted him as their sudo grandfather because he always handed out cookies to them. He loved sports and could talk about the Orioles all day. He could fix anything. Buzz may have left this earth but he will always be in our hearts.         

Due to Covid-19 restrictions a celebration of Buzz’s life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.

A graveside service will be conducted at Oak Lawn Cemetery, 7225 Eastern Avenue, on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 12:30 PM. Arrangements made by Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk.
