Kathryn Squires

With heavy hearts, the family of Kathryn Squires announces her passing at the age of 75. Kathryn, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on July 4, 2024, in York, SC. She was known for her love of casinos and slot machines, her passion for dancing and singing karaoke, and, above all, her devotion to her family.

Kathryn was the beloved wife of the late Lester Squires. She will be dearly missed by her children Tommy Squires and his wife Rustymae, Ginger Gensicki and Chip Squires and his wife Joy. She was the cherished grandmother of Tabatha DiRubio, Scott Gensicki, Justin Gensicki, Alex Squires, Justin Gilbert, Adam Squires and Matthew Squires. Her great-grandchildren, Liam Gilbert, Elliot Gilbert and Michael Thomas DiRubio, meant the world to her. Kathryn is also survived by her siblings Loreen Howell, Diane Ross, Bobby Greggs, and Jimmy Greggs.

Services to celebrate Kathryn's life will be held at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk 7110 Sollers Point Road. A public viewing will take place on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, from 2:00 pm- 6:00 pm with a funeral service beginning at 5:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Kathryn's name be made to Carolina Blood and Cancer Care, 1583 Healthcarre Drive, Rock Hill, SC 29732.

She will be remembered for her infectious laughter, warm heart, and the love she shared with all those who knew her. Kathryn will forever hold a cherished place in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in eternal peace.
