Kay Francis Jurs

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kay Francis Jurs, beloved mother, aunt, and friend, who left this world on August 16, 2025, at the age of 90. Born in Pennsylvania, Kay spent her later years in Dundalk, Maryland, where she created a warm and welcoming home.

Kay was the beloved wife to her late husband Harry Jurs. She is survived by her loving children: Eileen, who is married to Gene Nerf and has a daughter, Jennifer; Howard; Dorothy, who is married to Tony Vitrano and has two children, Brian and Lauren; Maryann, who is married to Tim Brown, with two daughters, Christine and Colleen; and David, the youngest, who has two children, David and Sam.

Kay was a loving sister to Janet Keim and her husband Floyd, Carol Kinsey, Sharon Boyles and her husband Robert, Judi Linz, Nancy Nuben, and Joseph Westerman. Kay was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Evelyn and Joseph Westerman.

Kay is also survived by a multitude of nieces and nephews: Goddaughter Denise, who is married to Carl Corey and has a daugher Lauren Braun, Nick Corey and Alyssa, Phil Linz, who is married to Cathy and have a daughter Stacy and son Phil. She is also the godmother to Terry Harris.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the public viewings on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday August 23, 2025 at 10:00 AM followed by a graveside service at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, 7401 German Hill Road.

In this time of mourning, let us remember Kay for her kindness, her laughter, and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. She will be dearly missed but forever cherished in our memories.
