Kirk Joseph Stambaugh, a devoted husband, loving father, and caring grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on October 25, 1946, in Maryland.

He cherished every moment spent with his family and embraced his role as a devoted husband to his wife, Susan, with whom he shared 47 wonderful years of marriage. Loving father to Kimberly Motz, Bridgett Slattery, Hope Stambaugh, Samuel Lamartina and his late son Kirk "Snapper" Stambaugh Jr. He found immense joy in his 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He will also be deeply missed by his siblings, Keith, Larry, and Darvin Croy.

Kirk also had a rich history of serving his country in the Army, where he was honored to be a bodyguard for generals during the Vietnam War. Despite facing the challenges of dementia for over a decade, Kirk's love for his family never wavered.

Family and friends are invited to join us in celebrating Kirk's remarkable life. There will be a public viewing at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Sunday September 20, 2026, from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the same location on Monday September 21st at 11:00 am, followed by a graveside service at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens, 10201 Bird River Rd., Middle River, MD 21220.
