Lamberto Zazzetta

February 21, 1933 — November 25, 2021

Lamberto Zazzetta

Thanksgiving is about family. It is about sharing time together, memories, smiles, laughter, tradition and great food. It is a time when homes are full of life and joy. It is about remembering what we are thankful for, what we have been thankful for and what we will be thankful for. It is about not being alone.

This Thanksgiving, just before it was time to eat Thanksgiving dinner and as the last of his requested guests had arrived to his home, Lamberto Zazzetta passed peacefully. The room he left us in was full, his entire house was full.

Working hard to protect his family his entire life, he made sure we were not alone when it was his time to leave. He planned his exit well.

Lamberto was born on February 21, 1933 in San Benedetto del Tronto, Italy to his parents Guido and Lina Zazzetta. As a young sailor in the Italian Navy, he chose to start his family in America. Like many immigrants, he spent his time in this country overcoming adversity, working hard for everything, and turning his friends into family.

During his 88 years here on earth, from Italy to Highlandtown and finally to Rosedale he touched many lives and taught so many, so much.

Lamberto is survived by his dedicated and strong wife Silvana Zazzetta. She was by his side, loved him and cared for him for more than 70 years. Lamberto was also well loved by his wife’s family, especially by his in-laws Emidio and Rosina Corradetti.

His legacy will live through his devoted children. His daughter, Rosellina and her husband Andrea Agostini. And his son, Guido and his wife Stacie DeCarlo Zazzetta. His two children created his pride and joy, his four grandchildren, Sabrina Agostini Nolan and her husband Matthew Nolan, Steven Agostini and his wife Celestina Mateo Agostini, Gino Zazzetta and his wife Lauren Moran Zazzetta and his “little one” Miranda Zazzetta and her boyfriend Michael Gum and his son Austin.

Lamberto was gifted three great-grandchildren, Murphy, Finn and Rosellina Nolan. They made his heart happy. His love for the beach and respect for the water will continue to guide them and bring them the happiness they brought him. His spirit will forever be in their hearts.

An ocean away, in Italy, Lamberto leaves behind his sister Luciana and her husband Franco Bolletini. Lamberto joins his older brother, Franco Zazzetta, in heaven.
