Leonard Harper Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family.

Leonard was the devoted husband of Patricia Harper, with whom he shared 42 years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered around family, love, laughter, and countless memories.

Leonard was the proud father of Ashley and Leonard Harper Jr. and a loving grandfather to Olivia, Elisabeth, Jackson, Luke, Grayson, and Autumn. His family was the most important part of his life, and he took great pride in each of them.

For 25 years, Leonard proudly served as a Baltimore City Police Officer. His dedication to his work reflected the same loyalty and commitment he brought to everything he cared about.

Those who knew Leonard will remember him for his easygoing nature, quick sense of humor, and love of playing jokes on the people around him. He had a way of making people laugh and bringing lightness to even ordinary moments. And, as his family would readily admit, Leonard was stubborn-right up until the very end. That stubbornness was simply another part of the strong-willed man they loved so dearly.

Above all, Leonard was dedicated to his family. He was there for the people he loved and created a lifetime of memories that will continue to live on through his children, grandchildren, and the generations that follow.

Leonard leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, service, and family. He will be deeply missed, but his humor, his stories, and the love he gave so freely will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.A public viewing will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Thursday August 13, 2026 from 3:00-7:00 pm.

He was loved deeply. He will be missed tremendously. And he will never be forgotten.
