Lisa M. Pisani

Lisa Mary Pisani (Sheppard), 52, passed away peacefully at home on October 2, 2020. The cherished daughter of the late Jerome F. Sheppard, Sr. and Rita R. Sheppard, Lisa was born on October 30, 1967, in Baltimore, Maryland. Lisa’s heart was full of love, empathy, and charity. Her devotion to animals, rescuing and adopting many over the years, was eclipsed only by her love of family. While her life is best defined as purely selfless, Lisa also enjoyed life’s simple pleasures—shopping (and picking up a handbag for her collection), seeing the latest box office hit (but only if it didn’t require driving the beltway to get there), enjoying a delicious meal (but nothing too fancy or that she couldn’t pronounce), and kicking up her feet at home, in the Carolinas, or most recently, in Paris (despite a well-known fear of flying). She will be sorely missed by Steven, her loving husband of 26 years, and two adoring siblings: sister Colleen Vittek and brother Jerry “Chip” Sheppard. Lisa is further survived by a beloved niece, three nephews, two great-nephews, and a wealth of relatives and friends. Family will receive visitors at CONNELLY FUNERAL HOME of DUNDALK, 7110 Sollers Point Road on Monday from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM. A Christian Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 600 S. Conkling St., Baltimore, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lisa’s honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place , Memphis, TN 38105.
