Lois V. Burkhardt, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on February 12, 1939, in Maryland, Lois spent her life dedicated to her family and friends, leaving a legacy of love and kindness.
Lois pursued a fulfilling career as an Embroidery Technician and retired at the age of 86 from "Time Out for Sports," where she cherished the friendships she formed with her co-workers. Her passions extended beyond her work; she had a profound love for gardening and feeding the birds, often taking joy in the simple pleasures of life. A devoted sports fan, Lois passionately supported both the Ravens and the Orioles. She also loved to travel, playing golf in every city she explored, and had an adventurous spirit that took her across the entire United States. Lois also found joy in baking cookies and savoring steamed crabs.
Family was at the heart of Lois' life. She was the beloved wife of the late Carl Burkhardt. She is survived by her children, Barry Burkhardt and his wife Karen, Terry Burkhardt Sr. and his wife Peggy, Cindy Donahue and the late Timothy Burkhardt. Lois was a proud grandmother to Shawn, Zachary, Amber, Britney, Caitlin, Terry Jr., Connor, Sarah, Michaela, Brandy, and the late Dominic as well as 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, David Burkhardt, and her beloved sister-in-law, Peggy Damaska and niece and nephews.
Her funeral services will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, where a public viewing will take place on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, 11:00 AM, at the funeral home followed by interment at Oak Lawn Cemetery, 7225 Eastern Avenue 21224.
In honoring Lois' life, we invite family and friends to join us in celebrating the remarkable woman she was, sharing stories and fond memories that reflect the love she so generously gave. She will be deeply missed by those who had the joy of knowing her.
