Margaret Kolk

Margaret Lorraine Kolk, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on May 10, 2024, in her hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. She was born on March 6, 1973, to Margaret Albright, in Baltimore, where she lived a life filled with love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends.

Little Margie, as she was fondly known by all who knew her, was a beacon of light in the lives of those around her. She faced her health issues with grace and strength, showcasing her resilience and unwavering spirit.

Margie's life was a tapestry woven with love and devotion to her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Kolk, her cherished children Tyler, Jaylah, and Noah, her Mothers Margaret Albright and Anita Schott, her Father Frank Ingellis, her brothers Shawn Moore, Derrick Schott and Ryan Albright, her uncles Gerald Moore and Ted Schott, her aunt Bonnie Smith, her sister Kelly Denning, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who were touched by her warmth and compassion.

In 1993, Margie met the love of her life, Mike, and they were married on August 9, 1997, marking the beginning of a beautiful partnership filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support for each other. Their bond was a testament to the power of love and dedication in the face of life's challenges.

Margie was a woman of many talents and passions. She graduated from Sparrows Point High School in 1992 and went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Development from Ashford University. Throughout her career, she worked as a Substitute Teacher and teacher aid at Charlesmont Elementary School, where she also served as the PTA President for 5 years. She was a dedicated employee at Graphics III Advertising, working alongside her mothers Anita and Margie, and most recently, she had been an integral part of Michael Munafo, Attorney at Law, for over 20 years.

Her dedication to her children's pursuits was unmatched, as she volunteered as a Den Mother in Cub Scouts, supported Jaylah's dancing teams and recitals, and always went above and beyond as a Room Mom, ensuring that every child felt special and loved.

Margie's creativity knew no bounds, and she found joy in crafting with her best friend Stephanie to showcase their creations at craft shows. Her handmade gifts were a reflection of her love and care for those around her, and her talent was a source of joy for all who received her thoughtful creations.

Above all, Margie's love for her family was evident in everything she did. She cherished spending time with her loved ones, playing games, enjoying Maryland steamed crabs, or simply engaging in heartfelt conversations. Her most cherished moments were spent at the beach with her family, where she felt peace as she wiggled her toes in the sand. If given the chance, she would have happily spent every day by the water, searching for dolphins.

Margaret Lorraine Kolk leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering strength. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched with her kindness, generosity, and boundless love. May she rest in peace, knowing that her light will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved her.
