Margaret Geraldine Reuter

Margaret "Gerry" Reuter, age 91 passed away peacefully at home on May 5, after a period of declining health. She is survived by her dedicated and loving husband John E. Reuter. They enjoyed a happy and fulfilling marriage of 73 years together. They raised two sons John F Reuter (Craig) Tryon, NC and Michael B Reuter (Linda) Dundalk, MD. She is also survived by her grandchildren Adam Reuter and Laura Compton (Travis). Also mourning her loss are her great grandchildren Nathan and Alaina Compton who she spoiled and adored!! Also lovingly remembered, by the entire Francis Family, and Doris and Al Kuhar. 

Gerry was born in Baltimore and raised in the Canton neighborhood. Early in her working career she was employed as a switchboard operator with the telephone company. She was also employed for many years as a receptionist and telephone operator at Consolidated Engineering Company on Franklin and St. Paul Street Baltimore, MD. Her last period of employment and most enjoyable was with her "adopted daughter" Judy Strzegowski, as a receptionist and bookkeeper at Hey Jude's hair salon on Dundalk Avenue. In retirement Gerry and John spent many wonderful days on their boat "Love 4-2" in Bowleys Quarters. She was an incredible duckpin bowler and enjoyed watching and cheering for the Ravens and Orioles. Special thanks and love to caring neighbors at William Estates, Bernadette and Ed Sowder; and the nurses at Stella Maris hospice.

Visitation with family will be on Saturday, May 8 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the CONNELLY FUNERAL HOME of DUNDALK 7110 Sollers Point Road. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 10 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.
