Maria Dargakis

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Maria Dargakis. She was born on May 13, 1942 in Pireaus Greece, and peacefully passed away on April 15, 2024, at her home in Bel Air, MD. Maria was a loving wife to Ioannis Dargakis, a dedicated mother to her son Minas I. Dargakis and her daughters Eugenia Britzolakis and Foula Dargakis. Mother in law to Sandra Dargakis and Georgios Britzolakis. She was also a cherished grandmother to Nicholas Dargakis, Christina Dargakis, Alexander Dargakis, Jonathan Dargakis and Ioannis Britzolakis.

We will honor Maria's life with a Public Viewing on Friday, April 19th at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church located at 520 Ponca Street, from 9:00 am - 10:00 am. A funeral service will follow beginning at 10:00 am. This sacred mass will offer solace and provide an opportunity for family, friends, and community members to come together in remembrance and support. Following the funeral service, Maria will be laid to rest at Oak Lawn Cemetery, into the peaceful embrace of eternity.

In-lieu of flowers, please donate to the Saint Nicholas memorial fund. All proceeds will be earmarked for the Saint Nicholas Youth Gymnasium Renovation project.
