Maria Dimirkow

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Dimirkow, beloved mother and friend, who left us on August 17, 2025, at the age of 97. Born on August 3,1928, in Ukraine, Maria immigrated to the United States in October 1948. In 1951, she married John Dimirkow, and together they nurtured a family filled with love and warmth.

Maria dedicated her life to caring for her loved ones, especially her daughter, Zina Dimirkow and her late sons Michael "Misha" Dimirkow and Alexander Dimirkow.

A kind-hearted and soft-spoken woman, Maria was active in her church community, singing in the church choir and fostering strong connections with her close group of immigrant friends. She had a passion for cooking, often preparing meals that brought family and friends together, creating cherished memories for all who gathered around her table.

Services in honor of Maria will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025. A public viewing will take place at St. Andrew Orthodox Church, 2028 E Lombard Street, starting at 9:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 am. A graveside service will commence at St. Andrews Cemetery, 7453 German Hill Road, immediately following the funeral service, where she will be laid to rest.

Maria Dimirkow will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire those she touched.
