It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Ellen Hockenbrock, who left us peacefully on July 15, 2026, in Dundalk, Maryland. Born on November 12, 1953, in Welch, West Virginia.

Mary was the beloved wife of Gene Hockenbrock and a cherished mother to her children, Brian (wife Kim) and Heather (husband Charlie). She took immense pride in being a grandmother to her three grandchildren, Brandon, Noah, and McKenna, who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her sibling, Pete Hamilton, along with many family members and friends who will miss her greatly.

Mary had a true passion for gardening, sewing, and reading. Mary loved nothing more than beach vacations and cruises, creating beautiful memories with her family. She had a special fondness for Disney, especially Tinker Bell, and loved her cats and dogs deeply.

To celebrate her life, a public viewing will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Sunday July 19, 2026, from 1:00-5:00 pm. The funeral service will take place the following day on Monday July 20th, at 11:00 am, also at Connelly Funeral Home. Mary will be laid to rest in a graveside service at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, 7401 German Hill Rd, Dundalk 21222.

Mary touched the hearts of many and will be deeply missed.
