Michael Panagiotis Kefalas, age 80, passed away suddenly on August 22, 2026, in Karpathos, Greece. He was the son of the late Panagiots and Chrisanthi Kefalas.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Nora Kefalas; his son, Chrysovalantis Kefalas; his daughter, Triantafilia "Filio" Tsakalos, and her devoted husband, Christopher; his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas, Mixalitsa Panagiota, and Yianni; and his sisters, Tsambika Triantafilos and Christine Zervos, and her husband, Demetrios.
He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Georgia and Kosta Saliaris, Demetri and Peter Saliaris, Renia and Ilia Tsipouras and Dimitri, Nicholas Triantafilos, Christine and Mike Shifflett and family, Pete and Stacey Triantafilos and family, and Maria and Marcus Henriquez Goddaughter. Michael will be remembered with deep love by his family and friends for the life he lived, the memories he created, and the lasting impact he had on those who knew him. His presence, wisdom, and kindness will be greatly missed.
Michael was a kind and gentle soul who held a deep belief in his faith. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is at rest and reunited with his loved ones in Heaven.
Viewing will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, Dundalk, Maryland 21222, on Wednesday, September 9th from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The Trisagion Service will be held at 5:00 PM.
Funeral Service will be held at Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 520 South Ponca Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21224, on Thursday, September 10th at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery, 7225 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21224.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Philoxenia House, Inc. or St. Nicholas Church.
