Michael became an active member with the VFW in Baltimore, Maryland for many years. Prior to his passing he remained in touch with his band of brothers.
Michael had a zest for life and knowledge. He appreciated spending time outdoors and being a part of nature. At home he would enjoy taking long walks with his wife and their Great Pyrenees "Soldier Boy". When kicking back at night they would enjoy movies such as Game of Thrones and Marvel Movies (Michael's favorite) with their pets Soldier Boy, MiMi, and their cat, Kizmit, at their sides. Other enjoyments were spending time with friends, to play cards or just take time out to socialize with them.
In 2019 we made a trip to Oregon and enjoyed driving the rim of Crater Lake at the Crater Lake National Park. Several stops were made along the way to visit other sites throughout our journey.
When visiting in Maryland he enjoyed his time with his daughter Katie and her cats Logan and Loki.
Earlier years after he retired from GM he worked along his son's side flipping houses and/or out crabbing with friends.
His smile was infectious and he never knew a stranger. Mickey's loving soul will be greatly missed.
Family will receive visitors at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Monday, March 29, 2021 from 4-8 PM. A funeral service celebrating Mickey's life will be held at 7 PM Monday evening.
