Mildred Joyce Doss

Mildred Joyce Doss, 86, of Jones Creek, passed away on December 18, 2022 peacefully.
Mildred, who was known as Joyce, was born on September 9, 1936. She lived a big part of her life in the Jones Creek area. She attended Sparrows Point High School. She spent her working years at the Veterans Administration. The majority spent at the Fort Howard location, where she worked in Radiology and then Voluntary Service. When she retired she was in the Credentialing office at the Baltimore location. When she was at the Ft Howard location, she had a special job of playing Ms. Claus for the annual Employee Christmas party.

Joyce was an avid church goer and loved Jesus with all of her heart. She was a long time member at Synergy Community Church in Dundalk & worked there as the pastor’s assistant for many years. She loved reading her Bible, playing her tambourine and welcoming new people to the church. She also loved spending time with family and friends.

Joyce is survived by her son Brent Spray (Tammy) of Wichita Falls, Texas, daughter Deanna Shrodes (Larry) of Wesley Chapel Florida, and Kimberly Anderson (Rich) of Marriottsville, Maryland. She is also survived by grandchildren Dustin Shrodes, Jordan Shrodes, Preston Spray, Alexia Doss, Landon Spray, Cody Brady, Harrison Spray and Savanna Shrodes as well as great-grandchildren Brody Alford, Olivia Elliott, Mila Shrodes, Riley Shrodes, Halle Shrodes and Kloe Bordelon.

Family will receive visitors at Synergy Community Church, 7400 German Hill Road, Baltimore, MD 21222 on Thursday, December 29th from 9-11 AM with a funeral service to follow. Interment at Bel Air Memorial Gardens, 809 Rock Spring Road, Bel Air, MD 21014.
