Mildred "Mitzi" Alfreda Shade

Mildred (Mitzi) Alfreda Shade of Baltimore, MD passed away peacefully in her home on January 12, 2021.  Mitzi was born in Baltimore, Maryland, where she lived all of her life.  She was born on January 3, 1924, and had just celebrated her 97th birthday. 

Mitzi was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart of Mary Parish in Dundalk.  She was awarded a certificate of achievement for over 80 years singing in the choir. She was married to Edmund L. Shade (1917-2003) for nearly 56 happy years. Mitzi is survived by her two children, David Shade and Susan Mitchell, wife of Tom Mitchell; her three grandchildren, Darryl Thomas (wife of Ken Thomas), Nicole Shade and Jessica Shade; and her two great-grandchildren Ryan Thomas and Sydney Thomas. 

A viewing will be held on January 15, 2021, from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM at Connelly Funeral Home in Dundalk, Maryland.  The funeral service will be on January 16, 2021 at 10:30 am at her home parish of Sacred Heart of Mary in Dundalk, MD with burial to follow at Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation.
