It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nancy Loiacono, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Nancy was born on August 7, 1964, in Oakland, CA, and left us on September 18, 2026.

A dedicated educator for 27 years with BCPS, Nancy had a profound impact on the lives of countless students, parents, and colleagues. She truly loved what she did and was passionate about making a difference in the classroom and beyond.

Nancy was also an avid hiker, plant lover, and travel enthusiast-she never missed an opportunity to embrace life to the fullest. She brought joy and positivity to everyone she met, whether it was sending encouraging words to a coworker, a brief encounter with a passerby on a hike, or sharing her favorite beaches with those she loved most. Above all, Nancy loved deeply and selflessly, always thinking of others. Her kindness and generous spirit touched so many lives.

Nancy leaves behind her loving husband, Sam Fava, and her cherished children: Melissa Falbo (husband Joey), Elijah Fava, Patrick Fava (wife Courtney), Daniel Fava (fiance Kate), and Erin Phelps (husband Alex). She was a proud grandmother to Victoria, A.J., Brady, Bentley, Peyton, and Harlow. She is also survived by her siblings, Joe Loiacono (wife Stacy), Marianne Thomas (husband Jerry), and Mark Loiacono (wife Toni).

A memorial gathering will take place at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Thursday September 24, 2026, from 4:00-6:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 pm. Nancy would have loved for everyone to come as they are, in casual attire, to celebrate her vibrant life.
