It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pavlos Foukas, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and cherished friend, who passed away peacefully on April 15 at the age of 79.
Pavlo was born on May 19, 1945 in a village in Greece called Gouriana, where he grew up with his mother, father and 11 siblings. At the age of 25, he moved to Baltimore Maryland. A few years later he met his wife Andromahi of 50 loving years in Greece, who came with him to Baltimore. Together, they built a loving home and raised their children Fotini and Vassilios and filled their lives with love, compassion and kindness. His greatest joy was being a grandfather to Pavlo, Yianni and Pavlo. The love, happiness, laughter, and bond they shared is beyond words.
Pavlo worked in the United States for several years as a painter contractor developing his own company. His happy place was his birth country, Greece, where he loved going to his village, to his wife's village, and to his other home in Athens visiting his large Greek family and friends there.
His presence, humor, and love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A viewing will take place at Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 520 Ponca Street, Baltimore Maryland 21224 on Monday, April 21 at 1 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2 pm at Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. Interment to follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements made by Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk.
