Robert Y. Lingenfelder passed away peacefully on February 22, 2024 at 92 years old surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Born in Baltimore City, Maryland on August 5, 1931, he was the son of Christopher and Lillian Lingenfelder. Bob served his country with pride in the 1st Army CORP as a lineman during the Korean War. After the war, he volunteered his time to veteran projects throughout his lifetime and was a truck driver for over 40 years. Bob was an avid dancer and belonged to the Let's Dance Club for several years which garnered a lot of his lifelong friendships.
Bob was known as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and will be forever remembered for his unwavering love for his family and friends. Always seen with a smile on face, beer in his hand, and listening to Frank Sinatra, Bob was always the life of the party and the perfect gentleman. He will be sorely missed by everyone who has crossed his path in his long, adventurous life.
Bob was preceded in death by wife, Chris and survived by his sons, Robert and Tracy Lingenfelder; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Lingenfelder; 4 grandsons, Erich, Adam, Kyle, and Kurt Lingenfelder; 2 granddaughters Ashley Lingenfelder Fuchs and Nikki Lingenfelder and 7 great-grandchildren.
As we come together to celebrate Bob's life and legacy, we invite friends and family to join us for a Graveside Service at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens, 10201 Bird River Road, Baltimore, MD 21220, on Wednesday February 28th at 11:00 am. Minister Matthew Spears will officiate.
Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Organization on Bob's behalf.
