Robert George Maxwell Sr.

With great sadness, we share the passing of Robert George Maxwell, Sr.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Dolores and Arthur Maxwell, Sr., brother Arthur Maxwell, Jr., and sisters, Ginger Metzger and Diane Hilligas. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon, and his sons, Wayne (Kelly-fiancé) and Robert, Jr. (Stephanie-wife). He is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Robert also had a special place in his heart for his sweet dog, Bebe.

Robert was a union man, a proud International Longshoreman Association Local 333 member, and a unit chairperson for the USWA Local 94771. Robert had a 23-year career with Sparrows Point and Blue Circle and a 20-year career with the Longshoremen.

Robert enjoyed fishing and being out on the water in his boat with friends. He also liked to travel with his family to Mexico and the Florida Keys. He is remembered as a kind, loyal man who was a dependable friend.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during a public viewing at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, on Monday January 22nd from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be held the following day, January 23rd, at the funeral home at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in his memory to American Cancer Society, a cause that was close to Robert's heart.
