Obituary

Listen to Obituary

Roy Andrew Ford Jr., 78, of Jacksonville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026.

Born on September 14, 1947, he was the beloved son of the late Roy and Bertha Ford. He was a proud member of the first graduating class of Dulaney High School. He joined the Navy and served as a Corpsman, carrying with him values and skills that he used throughout his life.

Roy found his greatest joy in spending time with those he loved. Some of his happiest moments were the family vacations to Long Beach Island, NJ. He was an enthusiastic sports fan who loved watching the Orioles and Ravens games with his son Mike and son in law Salvador. His favorite music was Motown oldies, and it could always be heard playing in his car as he made countless school runs for his children and, years later, his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Ford; his children, Natalie Ford and her husband Salvador Mendoza, Mike Ford and his wife Karen, Marie Carberry and her husband Jason, Mary Beth Ford, and Jaqueline Brock; his eight cherished grandchildren, Eva, Jason, Nicholas, Emma, Christopher, Joseph, Matthew, and Charlotte; his aunt, Joyce Kleiderlein, who was like a sister to him; and several nieces and nephews.

A public viewing will take place at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm. Followed by a funeral service the following day on Thursday, June 18 at 10:00 am. A graveside service will be held at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, 200 E Padonia Rd, Timonium MD, 21093.
