Shawn Williams, Sr.

It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of Shawn Williams, Sr, age 52. He passed away December 14, 2023 from cardiac arrest in Belair, MD.
 
       Shawn was born in Baltimore, MD to Louise Conyers and Richard Williams, Sr, on November 21, 1971.  He is survived by his mother, wife, Katie Williams, and children, Keegan, Shawn, Zachary, Xavier, Logan, Gabriel, Katana, and Aurora. He is also survived by his four sisters Mary Lanes, Vernell, Ronette, and Shawntay (twin), and brothers, Bobby Jenkins and Richard Williams, Jr.

        Shawn graduated from St. Francis in 1989 before continuing his education at La Lumiere Prep School, in Indiana till 1990, and started at Social Security computer center.  He decided to devote his life to helping others and joined the Baltimore Police department in October of 1991 and retired in February 2018.

        Shawn was an avid gamer, who had to have to latest, most up to date games and systems. Everyone who knows Shawn knew that if there was a gadget out there he will have it. His recent past time after retirement was modifying and detailing his car. 

       Shawn loved being a devoted father and husband, who did everything he could to be there for each of their milestones, graduations, school events, proms, etc.  He expressed on many occasions that no matter what his children chose that they do, he was proud of them and reminded each to be a good person and be proud of what they do.
