Thomas George Bittner

Thomas G. Bittner, age 82, was called home on March 24 th , 2023 in Baltimore, MD. Friends known him as “Tom” or “Tommy” or “Little red truck PopPop” by his grandchildren. Tom was born on May 28 th 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland proceeded in death by his parents.

Serving in the US Army, retired from GM and loved to collect cars. Tom was a dedicated family man. He found joy in spending his Sundays entertained by his grandchildren (and “Pixie”), never missing a birthday celebration. In between Sundays, you could find this car enthusiast cleaning up one of his favorites, mostly admiring his Cobra.

Beloved brother, father, grandfather & great-grandfather. Tom will lovingly be remembered by is daughter, Dawn Matthews & husband Dave Matthews, grandchildren, Brent & (late) dearly beloved Berlynn Matthews, great-granddaughter, Kynslee Matthews; Sister, Susan Dorich & husband Jerry Dorich; and many nieces, nephews, family and his extended, blended family.

A celebration of Tommy’s life will be held at Connelly Funeral Home in Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Rd. Dundalk, Md. 21222.  Beginning at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 31st , 2023.  Funeral services for Tom will begin at 12 noon. Interment to follow at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery in White Hall Md.
