Vicki D. Hickel, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on June 1, 1957, in Maryland.

Vicki was a sweet, kind and generous soul who cherished her family above all. She enjoyed a fulfilling career as an Area Manager at Wawa, Inc. supervising the Southern MD and Northern VA region. She dedicated 30 years of her life to the company. Vicki was a proud graduate of Immaculata University. She loved camping, hiking, and antiquing in her downtime, might be found watching true crime documentary show on TV. In addition, for years Vicki expressed her creativity through the writing, editing, and production of her church newsletter.

She was a devoted wife to her husband, Barry Hickel, with whom she shared 30 wonderful years of marriage. Loving mother to her daughter Valli Henry (fiancee Mark Courtaway), cherished grandmother to Ciahna Heck (fiance Sidney Hamann) and beloved sister in law to Marc (wife Lyn) and Brian Hickel.

Family and friends will gather to honor Vicki's life on Thursday June 25, 2026, for a public viewing at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk from 4:00-8:00 pm. A funeral service will take place at the same location the following day on Friday June 26, at 11:30 am. Followed by a graveside service at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens, 10201 Bird River Rd, Middle River 21220.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital and Shriners Children's Hospital.
