Virginia L. Gordon

Virginia L. Gordon, passed away on February 15, 2024, at the age of 91. Born in Maryland on May 20, 1932, Virginia leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.

Throughout her life, Virginia profoundly touched the hearts of many through her work as a Reading Specialist for Baltimore County Elementary Schools, guiding countless young minds towards a brighter future. Her passion for education and nurturing spirit extended beyond the classroom, as she selflessly served as a Sunday School teacher for 40 years, instilling values and faith in generations of children.

Virginia's love for music and fellowship shone brightly through her roles directing and singing in the Church of God at Dundalk choir, where her voice echoed the joy in her heart. Her green thumb found solace in the beauty of gardening, flowers, and nature.

In her personal life, Virginia adored her family, including her late husband Robert Gordon Sr., son, Timothy Gordon, daughter-in-law Charlene Gordon, late son Robert Gordon Jr., granddaughters Adrianne Gordon, Ruth VanPetten, Jennifer Gordon, and great-grandchildren August, Isabelle, Emaline, Reese, and Ryder. She cherished her extended family of nieces and nephews - Sharon, Paula, Pam, Lisa, Jimmy, Danny, Michael and the late Larry, along with many great nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Rd. on February 21, 2024, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Honoring Virginia's memory, a memorial service will take place on March 2, 2024 at 11:00 am at Church of God at Dundalk, 6 Yorkway allowing friends and loved ones to come together and pay tribute to a woman whose light will continue to shine through the lives she touched. Virginia's love, wisdom, and warm spirit will forever be remembered with love and gratitude. May she rest in eternal peace.
