Listen to Obituary

Wayne Hampton Samuels, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on June 4, 1939, in Virginia.

Wayne is survived by his son, Michael Samuels (Pamela Jones), and is reunited in spirit with his late wife, Dianne Samuels, and his son, Gregory Samuels. Wayne was a doting grandfather to Devin, Cayden, and Mason Samuels, who will cherish his memory for years to come. He is also survived by his siblings, Joanne Parker and John Zapf.

Wayne spent much of his life dedicated to his work as a mill worker at Bethlehem Steel, where he was a proud member of the Steelworkers Union. An avid baseball fan, Wayne had the Baltimore Orioles in his blood and would often be found cheering for the Orioles. He was a dedicated season ticket holder for the Baltimore Colts, supporting them since 1955.

His passion for animals was evident in his love for his dogs, Rosie and Coco, and his cat, Prissy, as he was a fierce advocate for animal rights. Wayne loved spending time at Ocean City, where he could often be seen strolling along the beach, soaking in the sun and enjoying the ocean air.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Wayne's life with a public viewing at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Monday November 9, 2026 from 11:00-12:00 pm.
