William P. Quinn Jr., a beloved friend, and distinguished veteran, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on May 27, 1946, in Maryland, William spent a life full of purpose, integrity, and service to others.
William dedicated his life to serving as a Probation Officer for the Department of Juvenile Services, passionately advocating for the reform and support of youth in his community. His work was driven by a strong belief in the potential for change and redemption, and he touched many lives with his compassion and dedication.
William was also a proud veteran of the United States Army. He enlisted on June 14, 1967, and served until his discharge on June 13, 1969, achieving the rank of Specialist 4 (E-4). His military service instilled in him a sense of duty and commitment that would guide him throughout his life.
He is remembered not just for his professional accomplishments, but for the warmth and love he shared with his family and friends. William was a pillar of strength for his loved ones and will be forever cherished in their hearts.
A graveside service will be held in his honor on July 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery, located at 14205 Pleasant Valley Rd NE, Flintstone, MD 21530.
In this time of remembrance, we reflect fondly on the many ways William touched our lives. His spirit will live on in the stories shared and the memories cherished by all who knew him. Rest in peace, William. Your service, both as a veteran and a compassionate citizen, will never be forgotten.
