It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Winter Sr., who left this world peacefully on June 1, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on April 18, 1938, in Maryland, Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose legacy will forever be cherished by his family and friends.

Bill was married to his beloved wife, Barbara Winter, and had previously shared his life with his late wife, Theresa Winter. He was the proud father of William "Bill" Winter Jr. and his wife Bernadette, John "Jack" Winter and his wife Sharon, George Winter, and the late Barbara Lynne Allen. Bill's family extended to seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored, and who brought him immeasurable joy.

Professionally, Bill was a skilled millwright with a long-standing career of 40 years in the steel industry, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. He was also a proud member of St. Luke's Catholic Church, where he forged deep connections with his community over the years. Bill's commitment to service was evident in his involvement with the Knights of Columbus, where he held the honor of being a 4th Degree member and a past Grand Knight of Bethlehem Council.

In his leisure time, Bill loved fishing, bowling, and golfing. He also treasured the bus trips organized by Edgemere Senior Center, where he enjoyed the camaraderie of friends and the joy of new adventures.

Family and friends may gather during a public viewing to honor Bill at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, on Thursday, June 4th from 4:00-8:00 PM. A funeral mass will take place on Friday, June 5th at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 1727 Lynch Road, beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, 7401 German Hill Road.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Knights of Columbus Bethlehem Council.

William "Bill" Winter Sr. will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.
